Windows Mobile Marketplace Error c101b00b?
September 14th, 2011 | by admin |I just got a HTC Trophy 7 (running Windows Phone 7) from a friend. I am using it via WiFi only as I cannot get it activated at the moment, but I am having a problem that seems to be common. I installed 2 apps and it went totally fine, but when I tried to install any others I got the error code c101b00b and it could not install. I get this error on the phone and in the zune software itself. I have tried a hard reset, is there anything else I can try? I am pretty new to the windows phone platform.

But this phone is a pain. I have the Mango Beta version and getting same error.

I have the HTC 7pro and experiencing the same problem over the last hour or 2. I don’t know how long it has been a problem as I don’t download very many apps so I have not tried in a few days. It is slightly ironic that the error code is c101b00b…..

I have an LG Quantum, fully up-to-date as well and have been having this issue as well. I regularly install apps on my phone, so I’m wondering if this has more to do with the soon coming Mango release scheduled soon. Hopefully, when it is released this issue will be resolved.

Had a similar problem with my Palm Treo Pro. Could not log in the Marketplace and kept on getting error message. Then I went through my program list and removed "Shopping List Manager" from Valuephone.com. Once I removed the program, I was able to log in Marketplace with no problem. However, I noticed that the program I removed was no longer available for download in my Marketplace account. I believe the program was interfering with logging in Marketplace because Marketplace no longer offered that program. So if you are having Windows Marketplace log in error, make sure your review your program lists and remove any non working programs.
