Windows live sing-in assistant 6.5 issue. Installation ends prematurely.?

So I wanted to play SF4, and when I entered, games for windows live popped up, and told me to install their new update. It could not install ( while in the process the setup quits ). I entered again, same issue. I reinstalled them manually through their site : first games for windows live, then sing-in assistant. The sign-in assistant cannot install, it says that it ends prematurely. I have uninstalled games for windows-live redistributeable and games for windows marketplace. I installed them again, and same issue, sing-in assistant 6.5 cannot install…
Is Windows in the process of fixing this?

I had the same problem. What I ended up doing was turning on Automatic Updates in Services and then tried reinstalling the sign-in assistant and it worked.

    During the setup check the 2nd box where it says to share information blah blah blah. once I checked that it finished the install. had the same problem as you
