Part 2 – Real Time ROM Flashing – Windows Mobile 6.5 – T-Mobile Touch Pro2

July 14th, 2010 | by admin |

Part 2 – Demo of ROM Updating – I show my T-Mobile Touch Pro2 in real time being updated with a “cooked ROM,” another way of saying that I am updating to a different OS or operating system.

If you like these ROMS, better than 6.1 that is, check out the site where I got these from, thewingster.com

He has explanations and opinions on each of them and also provides the downloads.

The is the energyROM standard. I like it because it has lots of cool applications, including fun little add-ons such as the program that makes my TP2 make sounds on sliding open and closing my keyboard. I know, a silly little add-on, but I think it’s fun.

Go to www.thewingster.com for further info and to download it. Here is the specific page on TheWingster site:

http://thewingster.com/NRGZ28.aspx

The procedure to get this OS on your Touch Pro2 is called “flashing.” While it is an easy process it can be scary your first time. Coming soon: my video on how to flash your T-Mobile Touch Pro2.

    Best for you to …
Best for you to Google that or go over to XDA, because I have no idea.

While some apps and programs will work on any device running Windows Mobile, I suspect that these ROMS are specific to the device, so to work the hardware, etc.

AFAIK these ROMS contain drivers to operated aspects of a device. So the ROMS need to be specific to your handset.
