    At a minimum the government should provide infrastructure , public heath, define and protect property rights, and regulate the financial sectors, Countries that also subsidies education of children and research do better. Some countries also provide a wide rage of social services like heath care, perk for parents and welfare that people want and their economies do as well as those that offer very little as long as they maintain a large competitive private sector.
