Photography picture taking tips?! :]?

March 5th, 2011 | by admin |

Okay so, tomorrow I will be going to this Marketplace with shops, fountains, food, entertainment and nature all around it (it’s an outside mall). It quite beautiful so I want to take some pics there:] Not just ordinary pictures, but like more of the photography professional looking ones that are a must see.

All I need are tips. Like, what are good things to take pics of?
I’m thinking like flowers, the sky, maybe some food too, and clothes?
And any techinues I can use too?

I’m really into photography and I want it to be a hobby of mine.
So please, give me as much as you know about taking pics using tips and techniques.

Thank you so much! :]

Use the rule of thirds thats the #1 thing you learn in any photography class is the rule of thirds.
Its to much for me to explain so I’ll post a link with all you need to know about the rule of thirds.

This video explains it perfectly! And there are examples.

Daisy the only advice I can give you is you need to think artistically. Look at something and say is that really neat looking or just ordinary? Or if it’s just ordinary, can you put a view on it with your camera that makes it look cool. If you do flowers or food get close up, that way your camera should blur the background while keeping the item in focus.

Taking more than 1 picture of the same thing try taking about 5 pictures of the same thing.
Pick the one that looks best to you. Trying taking pictures in different angles.
Also use photoshop to edit your pictures. And make sure to have a camera over 10 megapixels.

One of the best thing to do is try and think of a way to see something that most people don’t! Take pictures from several different vantage points! Also, a very simple idea, don’t center anything! Try off centering to get more in the background! Also make sure to keep your eyes open for neat things! A half empty smoothie cup or a pigeon sitting neat the fountain offers a lot of opportunities! Also remember to keep shooting! Sometimes the unplanned pictures are the best!! Take as many as you can and I am sure that you will be surprised!!
